The Riga International Biennial of Contemporary Art (RIBOCA) is an international biennial with a European focus and a strong regional profile, founded in 2016.

The first edition, RIBOCA1, took place from the beginning of June until the end of October 2018 and it was spread throughout 8 different venues across Riga, including one in Jurmala there were showcased:

– 104 artists, including 10 collectives

– 141 works, including 49 new commissions

There were also 10 public sculptures and site-specific interventions spread across various locations around the city.

In 2017, 100ideas was invited to submit a design proposal and in 2018 got chosen for being in charge of the scenography of the 1st edition of RIBOCA. Oana Tudose was part of the exhibition design team.
