This is the beginning of a series of drawings which I am launching in 2025. I started this initiative as a response to the complex feelings of being a mother, woman and artist. But most importantly while also navigating the emotional impact that the current genocides, displacements and orphaning of children worldwide have had on me. Drawing my daughter, my family and certain moments together has brought into focus the importance of looking for light in extremely emotional dark realities. The drawings have now become unvaluable memories.

I wish to extend this feeling and share it with more families, mothers, fathers or caregivers and while I do this, I am consciously thinking about all the families living in war zones. For each drawing commissioned, I will donate 10% to the organisation childrennotnumbers.org which helps children from Gaza and West Bank.
